I just met you both on Saturday but have been very moved by your story.
I have been thinking a lot about my animals how to take all precautions to keep them safe.

OMG - you just made our day!!!!! This is the best news ever, hurray - yippiee - AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Now tell the story - and don't forget the pictures!!!!

I am glad to hear that Bean is safe. Also, although I think it is great that people want to send gifts, I would not recommend that you guys give out your address over the internet. You have established yourselves as good folks willing to pay high dollar for the safe return of a pet. Better to do a "Bean" day party where the people who helped you out or kept you in their thoughts meet Bean and bring her gifts then...just my two cents from an attorney (with a soft spot for animals)

That's wonderful!!! I don't know y'all, but a colleague (who is a friend of yours) sent out the flyer at work, and I posted it on my Facebook page. A friend of mine also posted it on her page and sent it out at her workplace. To me, this is a great example of what a wonderful community Durham can be. Yay!!!

Congratulations!! We just lost a pet of our own recently to sudden illness and were just heartsick for your story when we saw signs around town. We're SO happy for you and for sweet Bean who has such a loving family.

Your story touched me very much. It is so nice to know that so many strangers as well as friends would come through to help bring that girl home. Also, b/c of what happened with Bean, I will NEVER let my pit bull Daisy in an unlocked car, or my other dogs for that matter, as I have done before for "just a few minutes". I will tell the APS the good news :o) I'll let you give her lotsa lovin' and spoilin' now -- congrats!

Mmmmm.... the family is together once again! What an incredible blessing!! I am so thrilled for you and I am going to shower Bean with love forever. It makes me so happy to see the efforts of many (strangers, at that) result in the safe return of Bean. I love you all! CDT
